The child behind the window is a little boy who is frightened by the outside world. He feels like he is in a jungle with too much noise and unknown things. So he built himself a cabin with just one small window and locked himself in there with all his belongings. Sometimes he goes near the window but it scares him. So he goes back to the back of his cabin and counts the objects to make sure they are all there. It calms him down. One day, hands placed themselves on the window and began to move like little animals. The little boy found it funny. Another day, these hands made light in his house with a mirror. The little boy found it beautiful. He went to the window and saw a little boy surrounded by two adults who were crying and smiling at the same time. So he wanted to leave his window open a little longer.
